One of Yvonne's Facebook friends gave her tickets to an LFC match at Anfield as they couldn't get there (or didn't want to go). Yvonne asked David who he'd want to take and he chose me :) It was against Manchester United and LFC won.
It was only one bus ride away so nice and easy to get to. It was quite good, actually. In the past Yvonne had watched such stuff on telly and it always seemed a bit tedious, but live it seemed to whizz by. Before we knew it it was half time and then all of a sudden it was over. It was 2-1 and LFC scored their 2nd goal in the last few minutes.
Everybody stood up every time the ball was down at the man utd end so I had to keep helping David stand on his chair. We were quite near the top near to one corner; looking down on, literally and figuratively, on the away fans.
It was very loud and some of the chants were quite funny. There was one player who got booed every time he had the ball (one of their lot), but I never figured out why (something about lying according to the chants...?).
It was very busy coming out, but it was well designed and lots of people can all get out at once, the ticket tells you which turnstile you enter the stadium by so you go in and you are right near your seats.
David wore his LFC top, but was cold for the whole match so had his coat done up the whole time :/ We were considering getting a scarf, but at £7(!) we didn't!!!
Got a few random pictures, but didn't manage to photo a goal; by the time I could've got the camera ready it would've all been over.
